CME/ MOC Credit Information for Board Review Course
Tulane University Health Sciences Center and A-Cross Medicine Reviews present this activity for educational purposes only and do not endorse any product, content of presentation or exhibit. Participants are expected to utilize their own expertise and judgment while engaged in the practice of medicine. The content of the presentations is provided solely by presenters who have been selected because of their recognized expertise.
Overview
This program is designed to increase attendee knowledge and competence in a variety of internal medicine topics. These include hypertension, lipid management, common ENT problems, ethical dilemmas, current diabetes management, plus a multitude of others. All topics presented will utilize evidence-based guidelines from the literature.
Statement of Need
Common internal medicine issues are being updated continually by specialty and government agencies. It is difficult for the internal medicine physician to stay abreast of all the current new guidelines and recommendations. Physicians and other medical providers are in need of streamlined approaches to common primary care issues. Internal medicine physicians in particular must prepare for their initial certification or participate in continuing maintenance of certification. This course is presented to meet this particular need.
Goal
The overall goals of the conference are to impact the diagnostic and treatment of patients seen in internal medicine practices and prepare the participant to be successful on an initial or MOC certification examination.
